Pediatric Occupational Therapy–Informed Support for Children and Families

Capable Kids provides pediatric occupational therapy–informed services that support children’s development, regulation, and participation in daily life. Through a personalized, family-centered approach, we help children build the foundational skills needed to engage more confidently at home, in school, and in their everyday routines.

How We Work?

Capable Kids works through an occupational therapy lens to support the underlying skills that allow children to participate successfully in daily activities. Rather than focusing on isolated behaviors, we address the sensory, regulatory, motor, and executive functioning foundations that impact learning, play, and independence, such as:

  • Sensory processing and regulation differences

  • Executive functioning challenges

  • ADHD-related attention, regulation, and organization needs

  • Dyslexia and language-based learning differences, when support is needed for participation rather than academic remediation

When these skills are underdeveloped or inconsistent, children may struggle despite having strong intelligence or motivation. Executive functioning coaching supports the development of these foundational skills through structured guidance, repetition, and meaningful practice.

Our Pediatric Occupational Therapy–Informed Services

Capable Kids supports children whose participation in daily routines is impacted by sensory, regulatory, or executive functioning needs — including children with ADHD-related challenges and dyslexia who benefit from OT-informed strategies in general education settings.
