How We Work
Capable Kids works through a pediatric occupational therapy–informed lens to support children’s development within the context of everyday life.
We begin by partnering closely with parents to understand each child’s strengths, challenges, and daily routines. From there, we develop thoughtful, developmentally appropriate strategies that address underlying sensory, regulatory, and executive functioning needs.
Our approach is collaborative and practical, with a strong emphasis on parent education, clear communication, and meaningful carryover between sessions. Support evolves over time as children build skills, confidence, and independence, ensuring strategies remain relevant, respectful, and effective.
We commonly support children with ADHD-related challenges and dyslexia or language-based learning differences, focusing on practical strategies that build confidence and participation at home and school.
